The inspiration for “Prince of Peace” came from a vision of a carpenter. Akiane remembered, “I spent a long time searching for a [Jesus] model,” and after praying, a carpenter who resembled Jesus appeared at their door. “I told my mother that was him,” she said.
After years of legal disputes, Akiane successfully recovered the painting and sold it to a private collector. Today, “Prince of Peace” is on display at the Belóved Gallery in Marble Falls, Texas. Reflecting on its return, Akiane said, “It’s still surreal to me… Love is incredibly potent.”
