A ring girl who appeared at the Jake Paul vs Tyson Fury fight ended up gaining a huge amount of followers following the boxing match.
Sydney Thomas almost doubled her social media followers following the bout on Friday (November 15) in which Paul, 27, was victorious over boxing legend, Tyson, 58.
It finally happened on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, with the fight being streamed on Netflix.
In the end, Tyson ended up losing to 27-year-old Paul via judges’ unanimous decision, after the pair went for eight 2-minute rounds.
After the fight, Tyson said: “This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful. No regrets to get in the ring one last time.
“I almost died in June. Had eight blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.
“To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish eight rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you.”
Although all eyes were on the boxing pair, it seems viewers watching at home also noticed one of the fight’s ring girls, Sydney Thomas.

In just a few days, Thomas’ Instagram following went from 236k to over 555k.
“Getting the opportunity to step into the ring with Mike Tyson and Jake Paul for such a historic fight is something I never imagined I’d be able to say. Words can’t describe this moment or how grateful I am to be part of such an amazing team at Most Valuable Promotions. History was made, and I’m truly honored to have been a part of it,” Thomas said after the fight.
She also took to TikTok where she shared a reel of herself waking up in bed, to see that she had gone viral.
“Waking up to see I’m trending for the Tyson v Paul fight… I’m happy you guys enjoyed the broadcast,” she wrote.
